OPEN ROLE: DESIGNER

We are looking for a designer to join our team. You will take projects from the first site visit through finished drawings, and stay involved as they are built.

Who this is for

Maybe you are an epic designer who loves creating an incredible experience for clients and knows what it costs to build things, but running a business is not what you want to do. We get it. Know someone like that? Send them our way.

This role is for people who want to be part of a beautiful team that believes in collaboration. Together we create a wonderful experience for each and every client through education, collaboration, and heart-centered design.

Who this is not for

  • People who want to clock in and clock out.

  • People who want a paycheck and do not care about the experience clients have.

  • Anyone without a growth mindset, who does not see life as a stage of development with learning as part of the process.

What you will do

  • Visit sites, listen to clients, and read how water, soil, and sun move across a property.

  • Develop concept designs, site plans, and planting plans.

  • Prepare drawings and details the build crew can work from.

  • Present ideas to clients and revise them with their feedback.

  • Work with the team during installation so the built site matches the design.

What we are looking for

  • Training or hands-on experience in landscape design, landscape architecture, horticulture, or a related field.

  • Comfort producing drawings in design software. Tell us which tools you use.

  • Plant knowledge that fits the Pacific Northwest, or a strong drive to build it.

  • Clear communication with clients and teammates.

  • Ability to travel to project sites across our regions.

Location and travel

We work across the Willamette Valley, the Oregon Coast, the Columbia River Gorge, and Bend and Central Oregon. You will need to travel to these areas. Your home base will be decided with you, based on your experience.
